Go look at the adapter on Amazon and see 50 reviews of people saying it only works with 32GB. This guy says he's using a cheap Chinese adapter for $5 that says it only supports 32GB but he's got it working with 128GB. And nobody posts product URLs to the cards and adapters they're using. Then there's the in-passing-sorta mention that custom firmware means you can go over the PSP's storage limitations - followed immediately by people saying no, not possible, that's a hardware limit. A respondent to that post says 2x128GB is the most.
A random post says 2x256GB cards is the highest (using a dual card adapter). One guy says the PSP1000 maxes out at 64GB. It really just seems to be a total crap shoot. There's LOTS of people out there using SD cards with SD-to-MSPD adapters, yes, but half of it contradicts the other half.
